a world full of books ~
Hi! My name is Charlotte and I’m a nineteen-year-old student living in The Netherlands.
In 2013 I bought my first DSLR and I’ve actually been photographing ever since. I’m that girl who never goes outside without a camera and a book, and always has to take pictures of everything (literally, everything). In 2015 I started combining my love for photography and books, and since then my Instagram account (@booksandteacups) became a Bookstagram. I love the simple things in live, like enjoying a good book, early mornings in bed with coffee and discovering new places.
I’ve currently just graduated high school, and I’ll be going to university after the holidays to study English Language and Culture. I someday hope to publish my books and be a professional writer (for now I’ll just post my stories on my Wattpad). I would love to work in the book industry.
The idea to make a bookish blog has been there for over a year I think, but hopefully I’ll now be able to actually make a blog and stay active.
I don’t really have a favourite genre, although I do really love to read Fantasy and Contemporary – preferably YA. If I had to choose my all time favourite author (even though that is a really hard question) I’d probably choose Leigh Bardugo. She’s definitely my inspiration and I really hope I’ll get to meet her someday! Her Fantasy series The Grisha Trilogy was the series that got me into reading Fantasy.
As for tv series, some of my favourites are Gilmore Girls, Brothers & Sisters and The 100, and believe it or not: I also really enjoy binge-watching Masterchef: Australia. I don’t really have a favourite movie, but two actors I absolutely adore are Emma Watson and Lily Collins.
If you want to chat, feel free to message me!
